The above-captioned case was scheduled for hearing on February 26, 2008 at 1:00 P.M.  The Board notes that this was the second time this case was scheduled for hearing.  At that time, Chairman Coutu, Vice Chairman Newbrook and Commissioners Richard, Preiss, Jackson, Jasparro, Blackburn and Filippi were present.  The fire service was represented by Assistant Deputy State Fire Marshal David Beaubien of the Woonsocket Fire Marshals Office.  However, the Applicant failed to appear again at this hearing.  In light of the fact that the Applicant has failed twice to appear at this hearing, a motion was made by Vice Chairman Newbrook and seconded by Commissioner Jasparro to deny the requested relief in light of the absence of the Applicant.  The motion was unanimous.
