The State of Rhode Island and the Department of Administration have developed this Web site in order to promote, through a user friendly format, the dissemination of public information that is related to payments for government expenditures. This information refers to disbursement data that has been retrieved from our financial records.
In accordance with Rhode Island General Law Chapter 38-2, entitled "Access to Public Records" ("APRA" or the "Act"), the information that is posted on this Web site is deemed to be a public record. However, any information that is maintained that is not publicly available under the terms of the Act has not been disclosed. For example, records that contain personally identifiable information that is excluded from disclosure under APRA have not been posted.
While every effort has been taken to assure that information exempt from disclosure under the Act has not been posted on the website, please notify us immediately if you believe otherwise. Your specific concerns will be investigated and prompt corrective action will be taken. Please contact the State Controller's Office at AcctControl@gw.doa.state.ri.us.
Expenditure data is raw, displayed on a "cash" basis, and unaffected by accounting for accruals or other accounting entries. While the posted information maintained provides reasonably current and accurate information, this information should not be relied upon as formal financial statements.
