On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, detectives arrested Matthew Blackmar, age 28, of 225 Nooseneck Hill Road, Exeter, Rhode Island, for Possession of Cocaine. This arrest is the result of a complaint filed by the Investigators at the Adult Correctional Institutions and subsequent investigation by detectives. Blackmar was arraigned in the 3rd Division Court before Judge LaFazia and held as a probation violator. He was remanded back to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 7:45 A.M., members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Leah Cook, age 39, at 90 Burbank Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear/Cost Review for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Ms. Cook was returned to the State Police Lincoln Barracks, processed, and then transported to the Providence Superior Court.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at approximately 9:30 A.M., detectives arrested John J. Littlefield, age 57, of 39 Breeze Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, for: 1) Possession of Child Pornography and 2) Transmission of Child Pornography. Judge Higgins arraigned Mr. Littlefield on the charges and set bail at $10,000 with surety. This arrest was the result of a Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force referral and follow-up forensic analysis by members of the Computer Crimes Unit.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at approximately 5 P.M., detectives arrested Roseline Lakpor, age 24, of Five Paisley Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $500. This arrest is the result of an investigation into a complaint filed by Citizens Bank. Ms. Lakpor was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Richard Finnegan and released on $8,000 personal recognizance.
