LT. GOV. ELIZABETH ROBERTS TO HOST 2012 LEADERSHIP AWARDS

Roberts will recognize high school seniors from across the state for making a difference in their schools and communities

PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts will honor Rhode Island's exemplary high school seniors today, May 14, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the State Room of the Rhode Island State House as part of the Lieutenant Governor's Leadership Awards Program. Initiated in 1993 to recognize high school seniors who have made positive differences in their schools and communities, the program enables each high school in the state to choose one student that best embodies the qualities of a student leader and exhibits both a dedication to scholarship and a commitment to community service. Treasurer Gina Raimondo will be the guest speaker and deliver the keynote speech on leadership.
