On October 18, 2012, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Gregory Lombardi Jr., age 19, of 61 Gelser Street, Apartment 31, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Lombardi was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Magistrate Ippolito, who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance with the following special bail conditions: 1) No contact with children under the age of 18; and 2) No use of the internet, to include social networking sites.
On October 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate John R. Turner, age 43, of 40 Howard Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, with Assault with Bodily Fluids While Incarcerated. Inmate Turner was presented before the Honorable Judge Quirk in Third Division District Court, where bail was set at $10,000 personal recognizance. A pre-arraignment conference was scheduled for December 13, 2012. Inmate Turner was also presented as a Superior Court probation violator and was subsequently remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions to continue serving his controlling sentence for Robbery.
On October 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Angel O. Babilonia, age 28, having a last known address of 1151 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI, as a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Inmate Babilonia was wanted by the Hampden County District Attorney's Office on a Straight Warrant for the following: 1) Home Invasion; 2) Possession of sawed-off shotgun; and 3) Larceny over $250. Inmate Babilonia appeared before the Honorable Judge Quirk in Third Division District Court, where extradition proceedings were waived. Inmate Babilonia was remanded to the Intake Service Center of the ACI to await Massachusetts authorities.
