Final Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported December 7, 2012)

Michael Tully, AKA "Bang Bang" DOB: 1/16/83 60 Fairfield Street Providence, RI P1-2012-3387AG

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Michael Tully, aka "Bang Bang," with one count of murder, use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, assault with intent to rob, carrying a firearm without a license and conspiracy.

It is alleged that on or about May 30, 2012, Tully and an unindicted co-conspirator conspired to rob 26-year-old Ralph Joseph and another individual during an arranged drug deal at the Manton Heights housing projects. It is further alleged that Tully shot Joseph in the head with an unlicensed firearm. Joseph died several days later.

The Providence Police conducted the investigation with Detective Christopher Currier as lead investigator. Tully is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned before Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause on December 14, 2012.

David Lopes, DOB: 1/25/60 155 Foster Center Road Foster, RI P1-2012-3388AG

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging David Lopes with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling, one count of discharging a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence and one count of carrying a firearm without a license.

It is alleged that on or about September 11, 2012, Lopes entered a dwelling wielding an unlicensed firearm where he threatened to kill one of the occupants and shot another of the occupants nine times. The victim was able to get away from Lopes and survived his injuries.

The Foster Police conducted the investigation. Lopes is currently held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned before Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause on December 14, 2012.

Christopher Jimenez, DOB 6/15/86 123 Congress Avenue Providence, RI P1-2012-3389A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Christopher Jimenez with two counts of first degree child abuse and one count of second degree murder.

It is alleged that on or about dates between May 10, 2012 and June 20, 2012, Jimenez abused his baby daughter, with the abuse resulting in the child's death when she was only eight weeks old.

The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Jimenez is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on January 2, 2013. He is currently being held without bail.

Kimberly Shaw, DOB: 3/1/73 60 Olive Street Pawtucket, RI P1-2012-3390A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Kimberly Shaw with nine counts of first degree child molestation, four counts of second degree child molestation and one count of third degree sexual assault.

It is alleged that on or about dates between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008, Kimberly Shaw molested two children from the ages of 10 to 15 on multiple occasions.

The Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation. Shaw is currently held without bail and scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on January 2, 2013.

No True Bills

The Providence County Grand Jury returned a no true bill in the sexual assault case against Ivan Calderon (DOB: 2/3/57), of Providence. Calderon was initially charged by the East Providence Police with one count of assault with intent to commit first degree sexual assault and one count of second degree sexual assault.
