On April 4, 2013, Detectives arrested Jose E. Resto, age 19, of 176 Sterling Avenue, Providence, RI, for the following: 1) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle; and 2) Obtaining Money under False Pretenses O/$500. Mr. Resto was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned in Sixth Division Court before the Honorable Judge Walter Gorman and released on $2,000 personal recognizance.
On April 4, 2013, Detectives assigned to the ACI charged inmate Leo Duran, age 44, having a last known address of 54 Power Road, Cranston, Rhode Island, with Felony Assault and Battery - Dangerous Weapon. Inmate Duran was presented before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where no plea was entered on the felony charge. A pre-arraignment conference date was scheduled for June 20, 2013, to be held in Providence County Superior Court. Inmate Duran was remanded to the High Security Center of the Adult Correctional Institutions on $5,000 personal recognizance, where he continues serving an eleven (11) year transfer sentence for Aggravated Battery out of the State of New Mexico.
On April 4, 2013, Detectives assigned to the ACI charged inmate David M. Gagnon, age 46, having a last known address of 11 Beecher Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with Violation of a No Contact Order. Inmate Gagnon was presented before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where a not guilty plea was entered. A pre-trial date was scheduled for April 18, 2013. Inmate Gagnon was remanded to the Minimum Security facility of the Adult Correctional Institutions where he continues serving a one (1) year sentence for Domestic Assault.
