RI Division of Sheriffs to Hold Promotional & Training Academy Graduation Ceremony--MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND

Colonel Steven G. O'Donnell, Superintendent, of the Rhode Island State Police and Commissioner of the Department Of Public Safety and David M. DeCesare, Chief Sheriff of the Rhode Island Division of Sheriffs, announce that a ceremony honoring recently promoted supervisors and recruits graduating the 2013 Sheriffs Training Academy will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bobby Hackett Threatre on the campus of the Community College of Rhode Island, Knight Campus, Warwick, Rhode Island. The ceremony will recognize the promotions of Captain Raymond Moore, Captain Jason Allaire, Lieutenant Armand Musumeci, Lieutenant Alan Verdecchia, Lieutenant Cheryl Freitas and Sergeant Joseph Ruisi.

The ceremony will also certify the graduation of 38 Deputy Sheriff Recruits, who have just completed a six (6) week training academy.

These promotions and new potential Deputies are indicative of the positive steps the Division of Sheriffs has been taking in ensuring that all its members meet the highest set standards for all Department of Public safety personnel.
