Interstate Highway Restrictions
Highway, Exit and Ramp Closures
Pawtucket: I-95 NB at Exit 27 (Downtown), highway closed for construction, Monday and Wednesday from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Please follow detour using Exit 27.
Pawtucket: I-95 SB at Exit 27 (Downtown), exit closed for construction, Saturday, August 3 from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Please follow signed detour using Exit 25.
Pawtucket: I-95 NB at Exit 28 (School St.), exit closed for construction, Monday-Friday from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Providence: I-95 SB at Exit 22 (Downtown/Rte. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall), the off-ramp will be closed for construction, Monday from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow detour using Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.)
Providence: I-95 NB at Exit 23 (Rte. 146), State Offices exit closed for construction, Sunday- Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow detour using Rte. 146 NB.
Smithfield: I-295 SB, from Exit 8 (Rte. 7) to the Mowry Road Bridge, right lane and on-ramp from Rte. 7 to I-295 SB closed for bridge repair, Monday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please follow detour using Rte. 7.
Lane Closures
Coventry/West Warwick: I-95 SB, from Exit 8 (Rte. 2) to Exit 6A (Hopkins Hill Rd.), left lane and shoulder closures for construction, Sunday-Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Lincoln/Cumberland: I-295 NB, from Exit 9 (Rte. 146) to Exit 10 (Mendon Rd.), two left lanes closed for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Traffic will use the right lane.
Pawtucket: I-95 NB, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to Exit 29 (Broadway), various lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 SB, from Exit 23 (Rte. 146) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), right lane closed for construction, Sunday from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 NB, from Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) to Exit 22 (Downtown/Rte. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall), right lane closed for construction, Monday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 NB & SB at Exit 22 (Downtown/Rte. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall), ramps narrowed for construction, Tuesday- Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 NB & SB, at Exit 23 (Rte. 146/Charles St.), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 SB & NB, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 9 (Rte. 4), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Warwick/Johnston: I-295 NB & SB, from I-95 to Rte. 6, high speed lane closure for road sweeping, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. • Tuesday: I-295 NB • Wednesday: I-295 SB
Other
Providence: I-95 NB, at Exit 23 (Rte. 146), please be mindful of construction activity on the right side of the highway in the grassy median, Friday and Saturday nights, August 2 and 3, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
