Interstate Highway Restrictions
Weekend Exit Closure
Providence: Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) and the right lane on I-95 South will be closed for maintenance during the early morning hours Saturday from 2-9 a.m.
Exit and Ramp Closures
Pawtucket: Exit 28 (School St.) off of I-95 North closed for construction, Monday and Tuesday nights from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
Providence: Exit 22 (Downtown/Rtes. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall) off of I-95 North will be closed for pier excavation during the early morning hours Monday-Friday from 1-4 a.m. Follow signed detour.
Providence: The off-ramp from Rtes. 6/10 Connector East to I-95 South will be closed for demolition during the early morning hours Monday-Friday from 1-4 a.m. Follow signed detour.
Providence: The on-ramp to I-95 South from Memorial Blvd. will be closed for pier excavation during the early morning hours Monday-Friday from 1-4 a.m. Follow signed detour.
Lane Closures
Cranston: I-95 North, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 17 (Elmwood Ave.), right and middle lane closures for a bridge inspection, Monday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. The on-ramp from Rte. 10 South to I-95 North also will be narrowed at this time.
Cranston: I-95 North, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 17 (Elmwood Ave.), left and middle lane closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Cranston I-95 South, from Exit 17 (Elmwood Ave.) to Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.), lane closures for a bridge inspection, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Wednesday night: right and middle lane closures and narrowing of the on-ramp from Rte. 10 North to I-95 South
Thursday night: left and middle lane closures
Cranston: I-95 North and South, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
I-95 North: Tuesday night
I-95 South: Wednesday night
Cranston: I-295 North, from Exit 3 (Rte. 37) to Exit 4 (Rte. 14/Plainfield Pike), alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-295 South, from Exit 5 (Scituate Ave.) to Exit 3 (Rte. 37), alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Wednesday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-95 North, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), right lane closed for drainage work, Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
East Providence: I-195 West, at the Massachusetts state line, right shoulder closed for overhead message board sign work, Monday from 9-11 a.m.
Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 4 (Rte. 3) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Pawtucket: I-95 North and South, from Lonsdale Ave. to Main St., alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Monday-Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Pawtucket: I-95 South at Exit 30 (East St.), right shoulder closed for overhead message board sign work, Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pawtucket: I-95 North and South, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to Exit 29 (Broadway), alternating lane closures for construction, Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-195 East at Exit 2 (India St.), left lane closed for overhead message board sign work, Wednesday night from 9-11 p.m.
Providence: I-195 West at Gano St., right lane and shoulder closures for overhead message board sign work, Wednesday night from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 North and South, right lane closed for construction, Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
I-95 North: Exit 20 (Point St.) to Exit 22 (Downtown/Rtes. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall)
I-95 South: Exit 23 (Charles St.) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.)
Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 9 (Rte. 4) to Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Roads above or below the highway also may have intermittent lane closures.
Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 13 (Airport Connector) to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
I-95 North: Wednesday night
I-95 South: Thursday night
Warwick: I-95 North and South at Cowesett Rd., simultaneous lane and shoulder closures on both sides of the highway for a bridge inspection, Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Warwick to Providence: I-95 North and South, alternating lane closures in a moving operation for striping, Sunday-Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
I-95 North: from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 25 (Smithfield Ave.)
I-95 South: from Exit 25 (Smithfield Ave.) to Exit 11 (I-295)
Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 9 (Rte. 4) to Exit 10 (Rte. 117), right shoulder closed for overhead message board sign work, Monday from 1-5 p.m.
