Municipal elections in Woonsocket and Central Falls
PROVIDENCE, RI – Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis is reminding voters in Woonsocket and Central Falls to exercise their right to vote today.
Polls in Woonsocket and Central Falls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at various locations throughout each city.
Please visit http://www.sos.ri.gov/elections/upcoming/ for more information.
When voters get to their polling place, poll workers will ask them for their name so they can confirm if they are registered to vote. Once eligibility has been confirmed, they will be asked to show a current and valid ID. Poll workers will then give them a ballot and a paper cover called a "secrecy sleeve." Voters will then proceed to a voting booth, where they can mark their ballot in private. No eligible voter will be turned away at the polls. If a voter does not bring an acceptable ID to their polling place, they can vote using a standard Provisional Ballot.
Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis is committed to making it easier to vote, making it easier to do business in Rhode Island, preserving our history and making government more open and accessible.
