Traffic Advisory: Oversized Truck Detour for I-95 in Exeter Goes into Effect Next Week

As part of the Ten Rod Road Bridge Replacement Project in Exeter, a new traffic pattern will be set up between Exit 4 (Route 3) and Exit 5 (Route 102) on I-95, beginning Sunday, June 1, 2014. We will transition from a right lane shift to a 'split lane' condition on I-95 with narrowed travel lanes. This will require oversized vehicles to temporarily detour to Route 3 to safely bypass I-95. The detour will be in effect as of Tuesday, June 3 and will continue for approximately 60 days.

DETOURS:

Oversized vehicles on I-95 North will be required to take Exit 4 (Route 3) to Route 3 to Route 102 North and back to I-95 North. Those oversized vehicles on I-95 South must take Exit 5A (Route 102) to Route 3 and back to I-95 South. Signs will be posted and a detour map is available online at www.dot.ri.gov/detourmaps.
