The investigation into allegations of sexual assault by Rodney Bullock and Brandon Austin has concluded. The allegations concerned an incident which allegedly occurred on November 3, 2013 in Providence. The investigation was presented to a Statewide Grand Jury. The Grand Jury determined there was insufficient evidence to bring any charges against Rodney Bullock. After presentation of the evidence to the Grand Jury with respect to Brandon Austin, it was determined there was legally insufficient evidence to ask the Grand Jury to consider charges against Austin.
The Office of Attorney General cannot release further details surrounding the Grand Jury as disclosure is prohibited by law.
Hakkeem Saygbe, age 19 29 Mild Street Providence, RI P1-2014-2137A
The Statewide Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Hakkeem Saygbe with first degree robbery and conspiracy. It is alleged that on or about December 26, 2013, Saygbe conspired with another individual to commit robbery and did rob an individual, with the robbery being in the first degree.
The alleged incident took place in Providence. The Providence Police conducted the investigation. A warrant has been issued for Saygbe.
Montrell Hopper, age 19 37 Comstock Avenue Providence, RI P1-2014-2168A
The Statewide Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Montrell Hopper with two counts of first degree robbery. It is alleged that on or about February 5, 2014, Hopper robbed two individuals.
The alleged incident took place in Providence. The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Hopper is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on August 6, 2014.
