Final Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported January 16, 2015)

The Providence County Grand Jury has completed its investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the shooting of Adryan Boisseau by a member of the Providence Police Department on September 7, 2014. The Grand Jury has determined that the actions by the Officer were lawful and legally justified.

Daniel Lastarza, age 48 37 Kenyon Street Providence, RI P1-2015-0135A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Daniel Lastarza with murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. It is alleged that on or about July 23, 2014, Lastarza murdered Jonathan Stack. It is further alleged that Lastarza struck Jerri Nassi with a dangerous weapon, to wit a 2x4 framing stud.

The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Lastarza is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on February 4, 2015.

Jesse Sweetloice, age 34 1494 Broad Street Providence, RI P1-2015-0136A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Jesse Sweetloice with one count of first degree child molestation. It is alleged that on or about a date during the month of July 2014, Sweetloice molested a person 14 years of age or under.

The alleged molestation took place in Cranston and the Cranston Police conducted the investigation. Sweetloice is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on February 4, 2015.
