Deadline to register to vote in the South Kingstown Town Council Special Election is this Sunday, August 23

A Special Election for South Kingstown Town Council will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea is reminding voters in South Kingstown that the deadline to register to vote in this election is Sunday, August 23. State law requires voters to be registered at least 30 days before an election in order to be eligible to vote.

The Special Election will fill a vacant seat on the Town Council created after Carol Hagan McEntee was sworn in as State Representative (D-33, South Kingstown/Narragansett).

Because the deadline falls on a Sunday, the South Kingstown Public Safety Complex, 1790 Kingstown Road, Wakefield, will be open Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. through 4:00 P.M. for the registration of voters.
