Rhode Island families invited to enjoy a Spooky State House Treasure Hunt

Providence, RI – Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea will host a Spooky State House Treasure Hunt on Thursday, October 29, from 6 to 8PM. The event will include a family-friendly thematic tour of the State House, plenty of candy and activities for children. Visitors will learn spooky facts about the building and Rhode Island history. Costumes are welcomed.

"The State House is the people's house, and we want to give all Rhode Islanders the opportunity to explore this beautiful, historic structure," said Gorbea. "I welcome all Rhode Islanders to enjoy the Spooky State House Treasure Hunt with their families."

Admission is free. Families are encouraged to bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Off-street parking will be available in the lower State House parking lot on Smith Street.
