Interim Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported February 19, 2016)

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Eric Perkins, Antron Russell (aka Antron Dublin), and Alexander Collins with kidnapping, first degree robbery, conspiracy, and use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence. Additionally, Perkins and Russell were charged with possession of a firearm having been previously convicted of a crime of violence.

It is alleged that on or about September 2, 2015, Perkins, Russell, and Collins robbed an individual at gunpoint, stole his cell phone, and forced him into a car. The victim was able to escape, and the defendants allegedly fled the scene.

Later, police pulled over a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle seen leaving the scene of the robbery; the defendants were in the vehicle and were allegedly in possession of the victim's cell phone.

The alleged incident took place in Cranston. The Cranston Police investigated the incident with assistance from the Providence Police. All three defendants are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on February 26, 2016.

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Luis Maldonado and Luis Malave each with one count of first degree robbery, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of using a firearm while committing a crime of violence, and one count of conspiracy.

It is alleged that on or about November 25, 2015, Maldonaldo and Malave arranged to purchase an Xbox advertised on Craigslist. At the arranged time and location of the sale, it is alleged that the two defendants drew a firearm and robbed the seller and a friend.

The alleged incident took place in Central Falls. The Central Falls Police conducted the investigation. Maldonaldo and Malave are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on February 26, 2016.

Luis Escobedo (age 31)

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Luis Escobedo with one count of burglary. It is alleged that on or about August 27, 2015, Escobedo burglarized a residence. The alleged incident took place in Providence and the Providence Police conducted the investigation. Escobedo is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 23, 2016.

Raymond Frenette (age 50)

The Providence County Grand Jury Reported out an indictment charging Raymond Frenette with one count of first degree child molestation and one count of second degree child molestation. It is alleged that on or about dates between November 5, 2014 and August 14, 2015, Frenette molested a person 14 years of age or under.

The alleged incidents took place in Woonsocket. The Woonsocket Police conducted the investigation. Frenette is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 23, 2016.

David Torres (age 44)

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging David Torres with one count of first degree sexual assault. It is alleged that on or about dates between October 9, 2002 and January 29, 2005, Torres sexually assaulted a woman.

The alleged incident took place in Cumberland. The Cumberland Police conducted the investigation. Torres is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 23, 2016.
