Derrick Watson (age 31) Providence, RI P1-2016-2012AG
Derrick Watson was arraigned this afternoon before Superior Court Magistrate Patricia L. Harwood on one count of murder for the September 12, 2015 shooting death of Kyle Machado in the Fox Point area of Providence.
The Statewide Grand Jury indicted Watson for the murder on April 25, 2016. The indictment was sealed and an arrest warrant was issued for Watson. He was arrested last evening by Providence Police and brought before the Court this afternoon, where he pleaded not guilty and ordered held without bail.
Magistrate Harwood set August 23, 2016 for determination of attorney and August 30, 2016 for a bail hearing.
