Interim Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported October 12, 2016)

Please note: An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Fredi Lopez (age 32) 480 Union Ave. Providence, RI P1-2016-2973A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Fredi Lopez with one count of murder, one count of breaking and entering, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon.

It is alleged that on or about July 30, 2016, in the City of Providence, Lopez broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend Marta Santos where he allegedly stabbed and killed Andres Arguijo Acosta and threatened Santos.

The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation. Lopez is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on November 2, 2016.

Thomas Fiske (age 53) 54 Silver Lake Ave. Providence, RI P1-2016-2974A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Thomas Fiske with one count of first degree arson.

It is alleged that on or about December 23, 2015, in the City of Providence, Fiske set fire to a building located at 53 Silver Lake Avenue.

The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation. Fiske is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on November 2, 2016.

Jeremy Serrano Mateo (age 19) 47 Fales St. Central Falls, RI P1-2016-2975A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Jeremy Serrano Mateo with first degree arson.

It is alleged that or about April 14, 2016, in the City of Central Falls, Mateo set fire to a building located at 24 Summer Street.

The Central Falls Police Department conducted the investigation. Mateo is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on November 2, 2016.

Allan Perez (age 35) 150 School St., 2nd Central Falls, RI P1-2016-2976A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Allan Perez with one count of first degree child molestation and four counts of second degree child molestation.

It is alleged that on unknown dates between July 18, 2013 and July 17, 2015, Perez sexually assaulted a female 14 years of age or under. The alleged molestation took place in Central Falls.

The Central Falls Police Department conducted the investigation. Perez is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on November 2, 2016.
