PR 17- 20 Farinelli v. City of Pawtucket – No Violation

The City of Pawtucket did not violate the APRA when it withheld the audio recordings of two telephone calls placed to the Police Department by the complainant wherein the complainant accused a specific and identifiable person of committing a crime. Applying the balancing test, the identifiable individual maintained significant privacy interests and no cognizable public interest was identified that would be advanced through disclosure.
