The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Carlos Baptista with one count of felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
It is alleged that on or about January 28, 2017, Baptista assaulted an individual causing serious injury. The alleged incident took place in Pawtucket and the Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation.
Baptista was arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Friday, August 4, 2017 before Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause and bail was set at $25,000 with surety. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for September 7, 2017 in Providence County Superior Court.
