RIEMA TO CONDUCT REIMBURSMENT WORKSHOP FOR HURRICANE KATRINA EVACUEE SUPPORTERS

The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency will conduct a joint briefing with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to outline requirements for federal reimbursement on October 11, 2005 at the Command Readiness Center.

Cranston, RI --- Brigadier General John Enright, Director of the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) announced that on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, RIEMA in conjunction with FEMA will conduct a workshop to inform the cities and towns as well as state agencies and organizations involved in Hurricane Katrina Evacuee relocation to Rhode Island on how to apply for federal reimbursement for incurred cost associated for this operation.

The workshop will take place at RIEMA, 645 New London Ave; Cranston, RI. The workshop will be conducted from 1:30 PM till 3:00 PM approx.

On September 19, 2005, President Bush approved an Emergency Declaration for Rhode Island to supplement response efforts to assist evacuees from the area struck by Hurricane Katrina.
