Cancel Registration

This service may be used to cancel an active registration on file with the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles.

Each plate number must be cancelled individually in the case of dual registrations.

Please note that any cancellation will be effective with the RI DMV within 24 hours. ALL REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS ARE FINAL.
