At 10:52 AM, Troopers arrested Socrates Sanchez, age 33, of 284 Grove Street Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Providence Police Department for Felony Assault by Strangulation and 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on al charge of Driving Without a License originating out of the Cranston Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Potters Avenue in the City of Providence. Sanchez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, then transported to Third District Court for arraignment prior to being released to the Providence Police Department.
At 12:30 PM, Troopers arrested Daniel Morgan, age 27, of 474 Branch Avenue, Providence on a Parole Board Warrant for Violation of Parole. The Arrest was the result of the Parole Board contacting the Lincoln Woods Barracks to advise that Morgan was in their custody. Morgan was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution, Men's Intake Center.
At 1:29 AM, Troopers arrested Carla Monteiro, age 33, of 147 Hedley Avenue, Central Falls, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, BAC >.08(Phase I .093-Phase II .096). The arrest was the result of Monteiro nearly striking Lieutenant Barry, who was assisting with a motor vehicle accident on Route 95, in the City of Providence. Monteiro was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed and then transported to State Police Headquarters, where she was held overnight pending a morning arraignment at the Lincoln Woods Barracks.
