On Saturday January 26, 2013, At 8:30 PM, a Sergeant a Corporal and Troopers arrested Jeffery Wright, age 34, of 83 High Street, Wakefield, RI, for; 1.) Theft – Obtaining Credit Card; 2.) Fraudulent Use of Credit Card; 3.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses; 4.) Obstruction. 5.) 2nd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear Ability to pay originating out of Newport Police Department. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Troopers responding to the subject's residence. Wright was transported to State Police Wickford, processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment before a Justice of the Peace.
On Saturday January 26, 2013, At 11:40 PM, Troopers arrested Tony King, age 22, of 146 Park Holm, Newport, RI for Violation of No Contact Order. The arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on East Main Road in the Town of Middletown. King was transported to State Police Wickford, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
