This system allows you to order:

  • Non-Divisible Single Trip Permits
  • Annual Blanket Permits to Move Non-Divisible Construction Loads
  • Annual Divisible Load Permits

Annual Permit holders: BRIDGE RESTRICTIONS LISTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE USED FOR ALL ROUTES.

WASHINGTON BRIDGE RESTRICTION! I-195 East AND West over the Washington Bridge #200 is restricted to 48 TONS MAXIMUM WEIGH. NO OVERSIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED. No Exceptions. Weigh-in-motion will be used and the state police will be monitoring this area.

The latest vehicle size and weight restrictions can be found www.dot.ri.gov/travel/truckrestrictions.php
A copy of the applicable restrictions list MUST be carried with all annual permits and permit vehicles.

There are two ways to register for this system:

As a Pay-as-You-Go Customer:

BEST OPTION FOR SINGLE BLANKET OR SINGLE ANNUAL DIVISIBLE LOAD PERMIT HOLDERS
You will need to pay for each permit with a credit card or eCheck (ACH Debit). Permit applications purchased by Pay as You Go customers are NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of approval.
Pay as You Go

As an RI.gov Subscriber:

BEST OPTION FOR FREQUENT ORDERS OF TRIP PERMITS
Your company will be invoiced each month for any permits purchased through this system. In order to become a subscriber, you must complete a subscription registration form and be set up in our billing system. This process generally takes 2-3 business days.
An RI.gov Subscription costs $100.00 per year, billed on the anniversary of your subscription.
