Once again Governor and Mrs. Carcieri are inviting Rhode Island residents to help decorate the “Heroes’ Tree” at the State House this holiday season.
Family and friends of military veterans are invited to create ornaments commemorating individual military service and bring them to the State House at 82 Smith Street in Providence. Ornaments may be left with the Capitol Police at the State House between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The “Heroees’ Tree” will stand in an honored place in the State Room throughout the holiday season.
