On Monday, November 2, 2009, at 9:00AM, a Trooper arrested Jaime Resende, age 62, of 510 Child Street, Warren, RI for: 1.) Exploitation of an Elder and 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses (over 1,000). This arrest was the result of a trooper from the Wickford Barracks conducting an investigation which revealed that during the years of 2007-2009 Resende had performed errands for the 77-year-old victim and then fraudulently obtained approximately $360,850.00. Subject was arraigned at 6th District Court and released on $500,000 Personal Recognizance.

On Monday, November 2, 2009, at 9:00AM, a Trooper arrested Maria Resende, age 69, of 510 Child Street, Warren, RI for: 1.) Exploitation of an Elder and 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses (over 1,000). This arrest was the result of a trooper from the Wickford Barracks conducting an investigation which revealed that during the years of 2007-2009 Resende had performed errands for the 77-year-old victim and then fraudulently obtained approximately $360,850.00. On Monday, November 2, 2009, at 10:20AM, a Trooper arrested Garth G. Tirrell, age 42, of 1058 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI for a 3rd District Court Capias on an original charge of Operating on a Suspended License that originated from the Warwick Police Department. This arrest was the result of a Wickford Barracks investigation Subject was processed at the Wickford Barracks and turned over to the 3rd District Court.

On Monday, November 2, 2009, at 11:45PM, Troopers arrested Samuel JACKSON, age 29, of 15 Ridgeway Avenue, Providence, RI for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Deliver. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop and a Commercial Vehicle Inspection conducted on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was arraigned at 3rd District Court in the morning.
