Today at 2:00 p.m. Governor Donald L. Carcieri will visit the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC), located in front of Lowe's at 555 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick, to review operations. The DRC has been established and is jointly operated by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist Rhode Islanders affected by the flooding disaster.
The DRC is staffed by disaster recovery specialists who can answer questions about claims, review information needed to process a claim, or check on the status of an application. In addition to the RIEMA and FEMA, other agencies offering assistance include the U.S. Small Business Administration and various state agencies.
