Lt. Governor Roberts, Senator Jack Reed to Honor Fallen Soldier at Garden of Heroes Ceremony

Providence, RI – June 17, 2010

Lt. Governor Elizabeth H. Roberts will be joined by Senator Jack Reed, RI National Guard Major General Robert T. Bray, and U.S. Marine Captain Jonathan Q. Kenney this Saturday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. on the southwest lawn of the State House to honor fallen Rhode Island Marine PFC Kyle J. Coutu at the Garden of Heroes dedication ceremony.

Lt. Governor Roberts and dignitaries will be joined by the Gold Star families to add Coutu’s name to the service men and women included on the monument at the Garden of Heroes. The Garden of Heroes was officially dedicated in 2005 to “Rhode Island service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during operations in support of the global war on terrorism since September 11, 2001.”
