PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) are sponsoring a free workshop on "Business Entity Formation" Tues., Aug. 3, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Elizabeth M. Tanner of Tanner Law Ltd. will review the factors business owners should considering in determining the most advantageous legal stucture for their company.
Loree Dubois of Kahn, Litwin will review the differences between limited liability companies and “S” corporation as well as estimate the approximate costs related to each type of entity.
The seminar is offered through "We Mean Business," which is a joint venture between Mollis' First Stop Business Information Center and Every Company Counts, the small business initiative of RIEDC. We Mean Business connects business owners with the local, state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations that impact their companies.
