Raimondo Announces Communications Staff

PROVIDENCE, RI - Treasurer-elect Gina Raimondo today announced that Joy Fox will be joining her office as the Deputy Chief of Staff and head of Communications and Community Affairs. She also named Dara Chadwick as Communications Director of the Employees’ Retirement System.

"I am thrilled to have brought together such a strong team to help me communicate my ideas about moving our state toward financial security and sustainability,” said Raimondo. "Their dedication and experience will ensure that Rhode Islanders have a clear understanding of my mission and goals for the office."

Fox, of Warwick, is currently the Deputy District Director for Communications and Community Outreach in the office of Congressman Jim Langevin. A graduate of Rhode Island College, she has also served as the spokesperson for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections and worked for various local media outlets.

"After over five rewarding years working for Mr. Langevin, I am excited to take on this new challenge," said Fox.

Chadwick, of Jamestown, has worked as a communications consultant and national journalist and will bring a wealth of communications strategy and brand-building expertise to her new role. A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, she is the former editor of the Warwick Beacon and The Jamestown Press.

"Communicating efficiently and effectively with our state’s retirees will remain a top priority of the Treasurer," said Chadwick.
