Office of Recycling Press Release on Yard Debris Collection

The City of East Providence Department of Public Works, Recycling Division, announces that segregated yard debris collection will begin Monday March 28, 2005. Residents must place leaves, grass and other vegetative material suitable for composting in reusable metal or plastic containers or paper yard debris bags. Plastic bags and cardboard boxes are not acceptable. Branches and brush less than two inches in diameter must be tied with string.

The Forbes Street Compost Site will be open to residents on the following Saturdays:

April 2, 2005

April 9, 2005

April 16, 2005

April 23, 2005

Residents may drop off leaves, grass and other vegetative material suitable for composting at the site. Residents must show a valid driver’s license as proof of residency. Vehicles must be four wheel, registered in East Providence and with a one ton capacity or less. No commercial vehicles are permitted.
