Raimondo Heads to Lincoln to Talk Pensions

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo and Lincoln Town Administrator Joseph Almond will meet with business and community leaders on Thursday, September 22 to discuss the economic need to achieve comprehensive pension reform.

"For our economy to thrive, we must fix the fundamentals," Raimondo said. "Until we do, Rhode Island will be less attractive for businesses to relocate or expand here. We can’t invest in the future if so much of our budget goes towards an unsustainable, poorly designed system that does not provide retirement security or taxpayer affordability."

Thursday, September 22, 2011 –10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lincoln Town Hall Council Chambers 100 Old River Road Lincoln, RI 02865
