1) Arrest Location: Cranston
On October 27, 2011, at 11:00 AM, ACI Detective charged inmate Joseph Figueira, age 28, with a last known address of 1364 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The North Attleboro Police Department had filed a detainer for inmate Figueira for a default warrant on an original charge of Larceny over $250. Inmate Figueira was presented before the Honorable Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer in Third Division District Court, where he waived extradition proceedings. Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer remanded inmate Figueira to the Intake Service Center of the ACI to await Massachusetts authorities.
2) Arrest Location: Cranston
On October 27, 2011, at 11:30 AM, ACI Detective charged inmate Richard T. Martone, age 33, with a last known address of 201 Skunk Hill Road, Hope Valley, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Connecticut. The State of Connecticut, Office of Adult Probation, had filed a detainer for inmate Martone for failure to pay costs on an original charge of DWI. Inmate Martone was presented before the Honorable Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer in Third Division District Court, where he waived extradition proceedings. Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer remanded inmate Martone to the Intake Service Center of the ACI to await Connecticut authorities.
3) Arrest Location: Cranston
On October 27, 2011, at 11:45 AM, ACI Detective charged inmate Nicholas Hawes, age 22, with a last known address of 599 West Shore Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Violation of a No Contact Order. Inmate Hawes was presented before the Honorable Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer in Third Division District Court, where he offered a not guilty plea. Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer scheduled a pre-trial conference for November 22, 2011, and issued an additional No Contact Order. Inmate Hawes was remanded to the ACI to continue serving his controlling sentence.
