Arrest Location: Cranston
On Friday, January 20, 2012, members of the Financial Crimes Unit, arrested Mikaela E. James, age 24,for Embezzlement by Bank Employee and Accessing a Computer for Fraudulent Purpose. The arrest was the result of an investigation into a complaint filed by Bank Rhode Island where James was a teller. James was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and subsequently arraigned in Sixth District Court in Providence before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito Jr., who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance.

On January 20, 2012, at 10:30 AM, ACI Detective charged inmate Harold T. Johnson, age 22, has a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Connecticut. The State of Connecticut had filed a detainor for inmate Johnson for violation of probation on an original charge of escape. Detective presented inmate Johnson before the Honorable Judge Gorman where extradition proceedings were waived. Judge Gorman scheduled a status hearing date of January 25, 2012, and remanded inmate Johnson to the custody of the Adult Correctional Institutions to await Connecticut authorities.

On January 20, 2012, at approximately 12:00 PM, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Eliezer Encarnacion-Cerezo, age 19, having a last known address of Carr 853 KM 5 HM 9, Carolina, Puerto Rico, as a Fugitive from Justice from Puerto Rico on the charges of 1) Homicide and 2) Weapon Offense. Encarnacion-Cerezo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned in Sixth District Court where he is expected to waive extradition proceedings.
