The Kent County Grand Jury reported out an indictment on January 17, 2012 charging Michael McCoy with six counts of first degree child molestation. A warrant was issued and McCoy was arrested and arraigned on January 24, 2012.
It is alleged that on multiple occasions on or about the dates between January 1, 2008 and July 1, 2011, McCoy committed first degree child molestation upon two individuals.
The alleged events took place in West Warwick and the West Warwick Police conducted the investigation. McCoy is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on February 7, 2012, and has been held without bail since his arrest.
