On April 24, 2012, members to the Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with NYPD Detectives, arrested Luis Hiraldo, age 19, of 2425 3rd Avenue, Bronx, New York, as a Fugitive from Justice out of New York City. Hiraldo was wanted on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Robbery with a Gun. Hiraldo was arraigned in Sixth District Court where he waived extradition and was turned over to NYPD detectives.

On April 24, 2012, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested Samantha Cardella, age 21, of 28 Woonasquatucket Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses O/$500; and 2) Conspiracy. Ms. Cardella was processed and arraigned in Sixth District Court where she was released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

On April 24, 2012, a Detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Bryan M. Sevegny, age 22, having a last known address of 58 Rose Hill Drive, Cranston, Rhode Island, with Assault on a Correctional Officer. Inmate Sevegny was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Woodcock-Pfeiffer in Third Division District Court, where he was given a future pre-arraignment conference date of June 26, 2012. Inmate Sevegny was given $10,000 personal recognizance bail on the new charge and ordered held without bail as a probation violator.

On April 24, 2012, members of the Intelligence Unit, along with uniformed members from the Hope Valley Barracks, arrested Wissam S. Khalil, age 39, of 25 Orchard Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the State Police Intelligence Unit for Forgery or Re-used Stamps on Cigarettes; 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the State Police Intelligence Unit for Sale of Un-stamped Cigarettes; 3) Importation of Cigarettes with the Intent to Evade Taxes; 4) Forgery or Re-used Stamps; 5) Sale of Un-Stamped Cigarettes; and 6) Conspiracy to Import Cigarettes with the Intent to Evade Taxes. Khalil was returned to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending an AM arraignment.

On April 24, 2012, members of the Intelligence Unit, along with uniformed members of the Hope Valley Barracks, arrested Najd C. Khalil, age 25, of 2660 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Importation of Cigarettes with the Intent to Evade Taxes; and 2) Conspiracy to Import Cigarettes with the Intent to Evade Taxes. Khalil was returned to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending an AM arraignment.

On April 24, 2012, members of Intelligence and Major Crimes Units arrested Michael Davis, age 31, of 15 Knowles Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent; 2) Sixth District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear, Driving without a License; and 3) Two Family Court Body Attachments for Failure to Appear/Non-Support. Davis was returned to State Police Headquarters, processed and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

On April 24, 2012, members of the Intelligence and Major Crimes Units arrested Bassam Khalil, age 47, of 2660 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Forgery or Re-used Stamps on Cigarettes; and 2) Sale of Un-Stamped Cigarettes. Khalil was returned to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending an AM arraignment.
