The Providence County Grand Jury today reported out an indictment charging Christopher Martinez with two counts of first degree sexual assault and one count of simple assault.
It is alleged that on or about November 19, 2011, Martinez physically and sexually assaulted an individual, with the sexual assault being in the first degree.
The alleged incidents took place in Cumberland, and the Cumberland Police conducted the investigation. Martinez has been held without bail since his arrest on November 21, 2011 and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on June 6, 2012.
David Carpenter, DOB: 1/13/75 135 Laurel Hill Avenue Providence, RI P1/12-1515A
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment today charging David Carpenter with six counts of first degree child molestation, one count of second degree sexual assault and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
It is alleged that on multiple dates between January 1, 2011 and April 30, 2011, Carpenter molested a young girl under the age of fourteen on multiple occasions, with the molestation being in the first degree. It is further alleged that on or about dates between November 1, 2011 and November 30, 2011, Carpenter sexually assaulted the same young girl, with that assault being in the second degree. It is additionally alleged that on or about dates between January 1, 2011 and April 30, 2011, Carpenter knowingly and willfully contributed to the delinquency of a minor.
The alleged events took place in Providence and the Providence Police conducted the investigation. Carpenter has been held without bail since his arrest on April 13, 2012 and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on June 6, 2012.
Trey Monteiro, DOB: 11/2/93 21 Leah Street Providence, RI P1/12-1516A
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment today charging Trey Monteiro with one count of first degree robbery and one count of assault.
It is alleged that on or about January 7, 2012, Monteiro assaulted and robbed an individual, with the robbery being in the first degree.
The alleged incident took place in Providence, and Providence Police conducted the investigation. Bail was set at $25,000 with surety, extradition was waived and a no-contact order with the victim is in place. Monteiro is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on June 6, 2012.
Alex Robinson, DOB: 11/13/89 145 Porter Street Providence, RI P1/12-1517A
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment today charging Alex Robinson with one count of first degree robbery.
It is alleged that on or about July 2, 2011, Robinson robbed an individual, with the robbery being in the first degree.
The alleged incident took place in Providence and Providence Police conducted the investigation. Bail was set at $50,000 with surety and extradition was waived on this case. Robinson is held without bail on other matters. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on May 23, 2012.
Paul Dunbar, DOB: 8/12/84 59 Moswanicut Lake Drive Scituate, RI P1/12-1518A
The Providence County Grand Jury today reported out an indictment charging Paul Dunbar with one count of murder.
It is alleged that on or about November 24, 2011, Dunbar beat his 71-year-old father, Milo Dunbar, to death with a baseball bat.
The alleged incident took place in Scituate, and Scituate Police conducted the investigation. Dunbar has been held since November 24, 2011.
