Detective Bureau Arrests on Friday, May 18, 2012

On Friday, May 18th, 2012 at approximately 11:30AM, members of the Intelligence Unit arrested Amit Patel, age 26 of 9 West Cute Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) Forms of Gambling Prohibited, 2) Forgery or Reuse of Tax Stamps, 3) Sale of Un-stamped Cigarettes, 4)Import Cigarettes with Intent to Evade Tax, 5) Possession of Marijuana. Patel was returned to the Lincoln Barracks, processed and arraigned before the Justice of Peace and released on $1,000 surety bail.

On Friday, May 18, 2012, members of the Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Kizzy M. Cole, age 34, of 117 Laban Street, Providence, R.I., for 1. Insurance Fraud 2. Attempted Larceny and 3. Conspiracy. The arrest a result of a complaint filed by the Travelers Insurance Company and subsequent investigation by a member of the Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Unit. Mr. Cole was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Finnegan at SPHQ and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance.

On Friday, May 18, 2012, members of the Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Darrell D. Jones, age 22, of 117 Laban Street Providence, R.I., for 1. Insurance Fraud 2. Attempted Larceny and 3. Conspiracy. The arrest a result of a complaint filed by the Travelers Insurance Company and subsequent investigation by a member of the Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Unit. Subject Jones arraigned before Justice of the Peace Finnegan at SPHQ and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance.

On Friday, May 18th, 2012 at approximately 1:30PM, members of the Intelligence Unit, arrested Angel Pichardo, age 54 of 320 Bennett Street #8, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1) Forms of Gambling Prohibited, 2) Forgery or Reuse of Tax Stamps, 3) Sale of Un-stamped Cigarettes, 4)Import Cigarettes with Intent to Evade Tax. Pichardo was returned to the Lincoln Barracks, processed and arraigned before the Justice of Peace and released on personal recognizance.

On Friday, May 18th, 2012 at approximately 2:30PM, members of the Intelligence Unit, arrested Muhammad Ghazi, age 46 of 459 Broadway, Methuen, Massachusetts for 1) Forms of Gambling Prohibited. Ghazi was returned to the Lincoln Barracks, processed and arraigned before the Justice of Peace and released on personal recognizance.
