HEALTH officials recommended the closure of Grinnell's Beach in Tiverton to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming. Water quality analysis is conducted by the HEALTH laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
The following beaches remain closed:King Park Beach in Newport and Third Beach in Middletown
