Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin Honors Rhode Island State Police Trooper Michael Ferruccio with Justice Award

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin recently honored several individuals and organizations at the 8th annual Justice Awards. Among those honored was Warwick resident and Rhode Island State Police Trooper Michael Ferruccio. The Justice Awards are given to individuals and community organizations in recognition of an extraordinary commitment to justice and the community, and are presented in honor of the eight previous Attorneys General.

Trooper Michael A. Ferruccio has been a member of the Rhode Island State Police since 2004. He has been assigned to several State Police barracks throughout the state and is currently assigned to the Hope Valley Barracks. He also serves as a member of the Domestic Highway Enforcement Team.

Trooper Ferruccio regularly assists and mentors junior members of the Division while also providing them with sound advice and direction. Known for his strong work ethic, which he has displayed throughout his entire career in both traffic enforcement and barracks investigations, he is being recognized for several notable arrests this past year that are the result of motor vehicle stops.

Trooper Ferruccio was bestowed the Justice Award for Law Enforcement, given in honor of former Attorney General Richard Israel.

"Trooper Ferruccio always looks beyond the stop and uses his training and experience to further the investigation. His tenacious work ethic and dedication reflect the high standards of excellence in law enforcement long associated with the Rhode Island State Police," said Attorney General Kilmartin.
