On Monday September 17, 2012, At 1:00 AM Troopers arrested Shelley A. Morton, age 41, of 18 Resolute Avenue, Newport, RI for a 2nd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating from the Middletown Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in the City of Newport. Morton was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Women's Intake Center.
