At 11:30 AM, troopers arrested Richard P. Ford, age 49, of 27 Ontario Street, West Warwick on an 1) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Violation of a No Contact Order issued by West Warwick Police Department 2) 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating out of West Warwick Police Department 3) 4th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating out of North Kingstown Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Tiogue Avenue in the Town of Coventry during a seatbelt enforcement detail. Ford was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and turned over to the West Warwick Police Department.
At 6:41 AM, a trooper arrested Karl Wayss, age 39, of 76 Yucatan Drive, Warwick on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on an original charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating out of the Coventry Police Department. The arrest was the result of troopers investigating an unattended vehicle on Division Street in the Town of East Greenwich. Wayss was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Third Division District Court for arraignment.
