National Weather Service Issues Weather Advisories for State

High Wind Warning National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a high wind warning from 0600 Monday to 0600 Tuesday for all of Rhode Island. Winds of 35 45 mph with gusts of up to 70 mph are expected with the strongest winds predicted for Monday. Results of high wind can include widespread power outages from downed trees and power lines. Coastal Flood Warning NWS has issued a coastal flood warning from 0600 Monday to 1300 Tuesday for all of Rhode Island. Wind gusts and storm surges of 3' to 6' could result in minor to moderate flooding inland and major flooding along Narragansett Bay and southern Rhode Island. Time period of greatest concern is high tide Monday evening.
