Hope Valley Barracks

At 7:45 AM, Troopers arrested Luis Taveras, age 41, of 1377 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI., on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on an original charge of Carrying a Pistol without a License originating out of the Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of Richmond. Mr. Taveras was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks and processed before being arraigned by a bail commissioner. Mr. Taveras posted his bail and was released.

At 2:37 PM, Troopers arrested Daniel Forte, age 19, of 5 Forte Trail Smithfield, RI., for Simple Possession of Marijuana, 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of Richmond. Mr. Forte was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks and processed before being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

At 2:37 PM, Troopers arrested Meghan Barry, age 19, of 632 Brentwood Road, Orange, CT., for Simple Possession of Marijuana, 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of Richmond. Ms. Barry was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks and processed before being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

At 12:56 AM, Troopers arrested Michael Reiner, age 27, of 7 Benjamin Avenue, Cranston, RI., for a 1) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on an original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Hope Valley Barracks and 2) Driving on a Suspended License. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Roosevelt Street in the Town of West Warwick. Mr. Reiner was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending his morning arraignment.

At 2:42 AM, Troopers arrested Joseph Porter II, age 29, of 19 New London Avenue, West Warwick, RI., for 1) Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense-B.A.C. .15 or Greater, 2) Duty to Stop in an Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle, and 3) Driving With a Suspended License. The arrest was the result of a 911 call to the Lincoln Woods Barracks and subsequent motor vehicle stop in the Town of West Warwick. Mr. Porter was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
