On Monday December 3, 2012, At 5:00 PM, a Trooper arrested Luis Mendez, age 30, of 44 E Bowery Street, Newport, Rhode Island for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving Under The Influence originating out of the State Police Wickford Barracks. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in the City of Newport. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
