On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 8:52 AM, Troopers arrested Michael Furtado, age 24, of 31 Allens Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island for Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pontiac Avenue in the City of Cranston. Mr. Furtado was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned at Third Division District Court.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 11:46 AM Thomas Olstead, age 66, of 985 Main Street North Hampton, Massachusetts for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on a charge of Wilful Trespass originating from the Bristol Police Department. This arrest was the result of the Providence Veterans Hospital contacting the Lincoln Woods Barracks to advise Mr. Olstead was being released. Mr. Olstead was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed then transported to Sixth District Court for an arraignment.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 6:10 PM, Troopers arrested Anthony Diaz, age 38, of 42 Jefferson Avenue, Pawtucket, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License that originated from the Warwick Police Department. This arrest was the result of the subject responding to the Lincoln Woods Barracks regarding a motor vehicle registration inquiry and a subsequent NCIC/Local check. The subject was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released after posting the required cash bail.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 11:20 PM, Troopers arrested Eric Garcia, age 22, of 15 Whalen Road, Providence, RI for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
On Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 1:09 AM, Troopers arrested Brian Rodriguez-Laboy, age 24, of 309 Admiral Street, Providence, RI for Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty. This arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment at Sixth District Court.
On Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 1:09 AM, Troopers arrested Josimar Pereira, age 26, of 45 Brown Street, Pawtucket, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on 02-13-13 on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License that originated from the Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center.
