On Friday March 1, 2013, At 10:55 AM, Troopers arrested Elmer Thomas Cobb, age 48, of 120 McKinley Street, Warwick, RI for 1. Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense BAC Unknown and 2. Refusal To Submit To A Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of several phone calls placed to multiple police agencies reporting an alleged intoxicated operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road, in the City of Warwick. Cobb was processed at the Wickford Barracks and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
On Friday March 1, 2013,At 9:55 PM, Troopers arrested Clinton Potter, age 44, of 14 Bergeson Street, Providence for 1. Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing for the original charge of Third Degree Domestic Simple Assault out of the North Kingstown Police Department and 2. Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing for the original charge of Third Degree Domestic Simple Assault out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Potter was processed at the Wickford Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.
On Saturday March 2, 2013, At 12:15AM Troopers arrested Shawn Peno, age 40, of 30 Messer Street, Providence for Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense BAC Unknown (pending blood results). The arrest was the result of an investigation of a motor vehicle accident on Route 102 in the Town of Exeter. Peno was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident, at which time he submitted to a chemical test. Peno to be held at RI Hospital pending his release followed by transport to the Wickford Barracks for a morning arraignment.
