At 3:10pm Troopers arrested Carl E. May, Jr., age 29, of 11 Powers Avenue, Taunton, MA., for Possession of Marijuana. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of Richmond. Subject was arraigned at the barracks by a Justice of the Peace and released after posting surety bail.
At 11:25pm,Troopers arrested Willey J. Massey, age 36, of 301 Bulgarmarsh Road Tiverton, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, BAC Unknown – 1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and 3.) Reckless Driving/Drag Racing/Eluding Police – 1st Offense. Arrest was the result of numerous calls to the barracks via E-911 for an intoxicated operator, followed by a brief pursuit and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of Hopkinton. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending a morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
